 Bicycling is one of the dynamic and creative sports that are developing through out the years. It is particularly visible in the BMX as one of the sports branch, where the youth always try to seek different, challenging and daring ways as also to give satisfactions. The innovative developments that are being followed by the increasing abilities of bike owners in using their bicycles over the years produced the need of Indonesian BMX riders to form a club or institution to help them push-forward and socialized BMX, especially among the youth and in the large form of society in general. To channel and support BMX fans in Indonesia, on April 1st 2001, ASOSIASI BMX INDONESIA was created. This association is a facility or a club that was founded by a group of BMX fans. Legalized on January 9th 2003 and acknowledge by Indonesian Bicycle Sport Association (ISSI) on February 24th 2003. This association was held as a way to communicate and to gather information in the sense of talents and skills development among the BMX fans and users in Indonesia. PHYLOSOPHY We realize that the growth and expansion of this particular sport in our nation is being placed upon the shoulders of the athletes and the sport fans it selves. Our existence will bring more benefit to this country if the desire to be part of the world wide league is being made real by steps and actions. Once there’s some technical skill between the sport players and the fans, then the competition between them will bring forth a champion in which one day will glorify the good name of his family, club, community and his country. We are aware that a coach is not necessarily born from a champion. In the case of some sport fans and or sport players who have no technical skill, all the passion and knowledge to this particular sport can be actualized by expanding the growth of the sport. Eventually with all that we are and will be doing, we can only say that it all took place based on the feeling of responsibility as a sport addict and the youth of the nation. The compensation that we are expecting is nothing more than merely an appreciation over things that we have done for our hobby, goal, dream and work for this country.
